Lily Lou’s Specialty Foods market celebrated its grand opening Oct. 19 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. The store was long-anticipated after word got out that former Richard’s Foodporium stores manager Debbie Maher was opening the location at 24150 Tiseo Blvd. off Kings Highway behind the Taco Bell. Richard’s three stores in Charlotte and Sarasota counties closed in November 2021, and there has been a void in the type of products sold at Richard’s markets, particularly bulk items. The store will also sell vitamins, supplements, packaged foods, healthy foods and refrigerated items.
