In an update on Sanibel Island’s stormwater repair project, Sanibel city officials said the work is expected to take several more months. The project began in April and is a component of the city’s stormwater master plan, updated after the city’s damaged stormwater system was inspected by Johnson Engineering and city staff. The work includes sediment removal from swales and culverts, repair of catch basin inlets and repair of pipe end treatments. The project will be completed in areas within publicly maintained right of way and drainage easements.
