The final testing for the new Energov system has been ongoing, as it is expected to go live on Oct. 5, allowing Cape Coral’s permitting staff to dedicate time to continuously improve the system. A top priority for staff is the development and reconfiguration of push-button permit types. The emergency electrical repair/replace permit and the plumbing re-pipe permit are the first of many reconfigurations expected. The reconfiguration for the first two permit types is expected to take one to two weeks after the 2021 Energov system goes live.
