WB Williamson Bros Marine Construction and Phelan Family Brands announced joint acquisition of Wallace Bait marina in St. James City. Operating as Williamson Phelan JV II LLC, the companies purchased 2975 Sanibel Blvd. on Aug. 24 for $850,000 and 2999 Sanibel Blvd. on Aug. 10 for $800,000, according to property records. Wallace Bait will soon be relocating down the street to the St. James City Marina, where the Island Crab Co. retail market is currently located. This relocation is a step in preserving the historical and cultural significance of the Wallace land, which has played a vital role in the community for generations, company officials said. In the coming years, the new owners will reveal their intentions for the land.
