Women’s Foundation of Collier County awarded $530,000 in grants to seven local nonprofits supporting homeless senior women and empowering young women and girls through education and mentoring. This year’s total nearly doubles last year’s $290,000. Major recipients include Grace Place for Children and Families ($210,000) and Baker Senior Center Naples ($70,000). Four Women Lifting Women scholarships, totaling up to $60,000, also were awarded to help women pursue higher education and financial independence. The grants are part of WFCC’s mission to support women of all ages in Collier County.
