Kelly's Roast Beef recently closed its last location in Southwest Florida.
After operating for only about 10 months, the drive-thru restaurant at 13585 Tamiami Trail N. permanently closed near the end of January. That second location in Collier County opened last March in a new outparcel building in the Gateway Shoppes at North Bay on the northwest corner of U.S. 41 and Wiggins Pass Road.
Its closure follows the Jan. 5 shuttering of the only other regional locations of the chain at Founders Square on Immokalee Road in North Naples and near Topgolf on Dani Drive near the intersection of Interstate 75 and Colonial Boulevard in Fort Myers.
Kelly’s, a Boston-based brand known for its North Shore roast beef sandwiches and New England seafood, has one remaining Florida location in New Port Richey, but that restaurant is scheduled to permanently close Feb. 15. The chain still operates seven locations in Massachusetts and one in New Hampshire.
