Expect a mini manufacturing boom in Florida.
By 2032, Florida is expected to gain the third-highest number of manufacturing jobs in the country, according to a study by quality management platform provider ETQ. From 2022 to 2032, the Sunshine State is projected to grow its manufacturing base by about 7.8% to more than 441,000 jobs. Defense manufacturing remains a steady employer in the state, while production of aerospace equipment, medical devices and electronics is expected to help drive growth.
Nationwide, most of the gains are projected to occur in Sun Belt states. Northern states, including Michigan and New York, are expected to lose tens of thousands of manufacturing jobs.

If Arizona is adjusted back to 2022, projected growth is 33,839; which moves AZ into third, ahead of Florida, then more correctly, fourth. Aside from that, it is already 2026, nearly half way through the projection period.
