WHITEFISH, Mont. - Three protestors were arrested for blocking a U.S. Border Patrol vehicle outside of its facility on Highway 93 on Tuesday.

Whitefish Police Department said in a press release that they directed protestors not to block vehicles leaving the facility. Three protestors then locked their arms with intent to stop the vehicle from departing.

A report was also made with WPD alleging that a protestor threw plywood at one of the border patrol vehicles.

"The Whitefish Police Department and City support the right of all individuals to peacefully protest within the bounds of the law," WPD said in a press release. "Obstructing access to any public or private roadway is a violation of city ordinance and the laws of Montana."

WPD said all three individuals were arrested without incident and booked into the Flathead County Detention Center.
