Some owners of downtown Fort Myers businesses are asking the city to provide parking passes for business employees. Peter Martin, owner of Profiles Salon, said business owners and employees should be able to park for free. A change in leadership with the parking vendor the city uses caused a delay in addressing business owners’ concerns. Mayor Kevin Anderson argues it is not feasible for employee parking to be free. However, a discounted rate could be a solution, WINK News reports.
