De-Stress: How to Relax

Come for the yoga; stay for the beer.

You can unwind with a yoga class. You can relax with a beer. But hold on: What if you did both? That may just be the greatest combination since peanut butter and jelly.

The latest trend: Craft breweries hosting yoga classes.

Come for the yoga; stay for the beer. Or vice versa. These classes have a laid back feel to them. Don’t expect an intense hot yoga session. This is more about relaxing in a unique environment. Yoga & Brews at Scotty’s Bierwerks in Cape Coral even allows you to set a pint next to your yoga mat in case you need some extra “hydration.”

Donation Yoga Naples brings classes to the Naples Beach Brewery and Southern Latitudes with a twist: Part of the proceeds goes toward a local nonprofit. Donation Yoga’s Lauren Fox says she notices the sessions draw a fairly large (up to 40 people at times) and diverse crowd—including more men than the typical class (You can guess as to why).

If you go, make sure to bring a yoga mat—and maybe a growler for a take-home treat.
