Benderson Development is building again off Dani Drive in Fort Myers. The area has been popping for years with dozens of fast-food, fast-casual and sit-down dining options. Next year, it will be getting even more, including a new concept to Southwest Florida.
This new outparcel recently broke ground just south of the Smoothie King, Paradise Bicycles and Keke’s Breakfast Café, fronting Six Mile Cypress Parkway, south of Colonial Boulevard and west of Interstate 75.
Chicken Salad Chick will take about 2,600 square feet of space. What started in Stacy Brown’s kitchen in 2008 in Alabama has grown to more than 200 locations in 17 states. It’s the only franchise specializing in chicken salad. The closest one to the area is in Bradenton but another location is planned in Estero Crossing, under construction on Corkscrew Road.
Jersey Mike’s Subs will take about 1,470 square feet of space.
Buff City Soap will take about 2,340 square feet of space. The Nashville, Tennessee, soap brand first established itself in Cape Coral in May 2019. It expanded with a second Cape Coral store, then two more in Naples, which relocated Black Friday to Mercato in North Naples. This will be the first in Fort Myers.
Benderson, a national development company, is headquartered in Buffalo, New York, nationally, and in Sarasota for Florida. It just broke ground on the outparcel.
Topgolf just opened, and in recent years, so have many nearby apartment complexes. The influx of new rooftops means an influx of new businesses.
