Chilton Trust, a privately owned wealth management firm and national trust company, cited immeasurable growth in Southwest Florida as it announced the opening of its new office in Naples. Following success in Palm Beach County the last 12 years, the company expanded its footprint in the state with its office at 850 Park Shore Drive, its sixth location on the eastern seaboard.

Chilton Trust was founded in 2010 as a state-chartered trust company and in 2021 became the first trust company in 13 years to be approved as a National Association by the U.S. Office of the Comptroller. The firm, which manages close to $7 billion in assets in six locations, seeks to provide wealth management solutions through a group of financial advisers with various backgrounds of expertise to ultra-high-net-worth and high-net-worth individuals, families and foundations.

In January, Chilton Trust hired Thomas Walsh as senior vice president of the Naples and Southwest Florida region to lead the expansion. Walsh has 20 years of experience in the sector and most recently served as a principal and senior client adviser at Bessemer Trust.

Former congressman and Southwest Florida resident Porter Goss sits on the board at Chilton Trust. The former Sanibel mayor said it was essential to have an on-the-ground presence in the region.

The firm offers access to internal equity and fixed income management, best-in-class external traditional and alternative managers, standalone national trust company capabilities, consolidated wealth reporting, comprehensive family office services and transactional planning.
