Farmer Joe’s, a new Cape Coral grocery store specializing in fresh produce and meats, is close to being ready to open.
Lee Snyder, owner of Farmer Joe’s, had hoped to open this month at 1401 SW Pine Island Road in Cape Coral. But there are some last-minute construction tasks that just couldn’t get finished in time.
“It’s coming soon,” Snyder said. “We don’t have anything set in stone yet. It’s still an active construction site.”
Snyder and Farmer Joe’s have been blanketing the airwaves with commercials anticipating the opening. He will employ more than 400 people to run the 50,000-square-foot store.
GNS Holdings LLC purchased the lot for $1.85 million in June 2020.
Look for Farmer Joe’s to open in early 2022.
