Fort Myers-based Chico’s FAS had its best third-quarter financial performance since 2016, said CEO and President Molly Langenstein in the company’s quarterly report released Tuesday. Langenstein said the retailer delivered robust year-over-year comparable sales growth across all three of its women’s apparel brands, Chicos, Soma and White House Black Market. Chico’s FAS earned $18.2 million, or 15 cents a share, for the fiscal 2021 13 weeks ended Oct. 30. That compares to a loss of $55.9 million a year ago. Adjusted results came in at $22.1 million, or 18 cents a share, this year, with the exclusion of one-time costs or gains. For the third quarter, net sales were $453.6 million compared to $351.4 million in last year’s third quarter. Comparable sales at White House Black Market, Soma and Chico’s increased 33.4%, 30.2% and 23.3%, respectively, over last year’s third quarter.
