Baby Basics of Collier County received a $5,000 grant from the Collier Community Foundation to provide diapers to low-income working families. The funding will supply more than a year’s worth of diapers for multiple babies served by the nonprofit. Baby Basics currently provides diapers to more than 600 babies in Collier County and Bonita Springs. The organization purchases diapers in bulk and distributes them monthly at 14 locations across the region. Families are screened by partner agencies before entering the program. Baby Basics says providing free diapers allows participating families to use limited household income for food, medicine and other necessities.
