Bascom Palmer Eye Institute received a $2.36 million grant from Naples Children Foundation to expand pediatric vision care in Collier County. The three-year grant will support comprehensive vision screenings, prescription eyeglasses and specialized eye care for children attending Title I schools. Bascom Palmer, part of the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and UHealth, will use the funding to strengthen outreach programs serving students with vision needs. The grant is part of Naples Children Foundation's Vision Initiative, which also partners with Florida Lions Eye Clinic and Lighthouse of Collier to improve access to eye care for children throughout the county.
