Southwest Florida’s first Buc-ee’s could be substantially completed by September 2029 under a development schedule approved by Charlotte County. Commissioners approved the project’s final site plan in September, allowing construction to move toward permitting and development. Buc-ee’s plans a roughly 74,000-square-foot travel center on about 28 acres at 25599 Harborview Road, near Interstate 75 and the Peace River in Port Charlotte. Plans call for 120 fueling positions and 740 parking spaces. The project is part of the larger Harborview Development of Regional Impact. The September 2029 deadline applies to substantial completion and does not represent an announced opening date, WINK News reports.
