Cameratta gives $25K to children’s cancer fund

Cameratta Companies has donated $25,000 to Barbara’s Friends, the Golisano Children’s cancer fund, to support Southwest Florida children with cancer and blood disorders. The contribution is part of the organization’s monthlong Be a Friend campaign during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. Florida Radiology Consultants, the campaign’s presenting sponsor, is providing a $60,000 matching gift challenge. Barbara’s Friends helps fund services beyond medical treatment, including pediatric psychology, Child Life programs, fertility preservation, financial and emotional assistance, survivor scholarships and end-of-treatment celebrations. Established in 1995, the fund supports Golisano Children’s Hospital’s Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Program, which has cared for more than 12,000 children.
