Children’s Advocacy Center receives $50K grant

Children’s Advocacy Center of Southwest Florida received a $50,000 grant to expand access to therapy for children and families in Charlotte County. The funding will support the nonprofit’s Healing Closer to Home initiative, which is designed to provide therapeutic services closer to Charlotte County families and reduce travel to the organization’s Fort Myers location. The grant was awarded through Charlotte Impact NOW!, a partnership between Gulf Coast Community Foundation and the Elsa & Peter Soderberg Charitable Foundation. Children’s Advocacy Center serves children and families affected by abuse and neglect across Lee, Charlotte, Hendry and Glades counties through advocacy, therapy, prevention and other programs.
