The City of Palms Garage in downtown Fort Myers will close for upgrades to its second-level ramp from Sept. 25 through Oct. 2.

City of Palms Garage in downtown Fort Myers will close Sept. 25 through Oct. 2 for structural repairs to its second-level ramp. During the closure, drivers can use the Centennial Park lot or Main Street Garage, though spaces will be first-come, first-served. To park in the Main Street Garage, downtown residents and workers must pick up a barcode at the Denison Parking Office starting Sept. 22. City officials said the work addresses long-standing structural issues and is necessary to maintain the safety and longevity of the garage.
