Edison Tavern in Fort Myers is nearing completion after a two-year renovation that has topped $3 million. The tavern at 3583 McGregor Blvd., overlooking the Fort Myers Country Club, has been undergoing renovations since 2024. The city began a $2.62 million project to bring the historic building up to code and address structural issues. General Manager Kevin King said he has invested more than $1 million, while the city contributed more than $500,000 for additional repairs. The tavern is reopening in phases, with one bar already serving customers and its banquet hall hosting its first wedding. King expects the tavern to fully open in October, WINK News reports.
