Vertical construction is underway on the first phase of a mixed-use development across from Coconut Point in Estero. FRP Development Corp. and Woodfield Development are developing the project at 23281 Lyden Drive along U.S. 41. The first phase will include 296 apartments and 30,000 square feet of retail space, with initial residences expected in the third quarter of 2027. The developers secured an $81.5 million construction loan from Santander Bank for the project. Plans for the completed development call for about 600 apartments, 80,000 square feet of retail, 20,000 square feet of office space and a 190-room boutique hotel. Brooks & Freund is the general contractor for the first phase.
