Fort Myers Beach Town Hall is home to the town’s administrative offices and meeting chambers, where elected officials consider policies, budgets and other municipal matters affecting the community.
Fort Myers Beach Town Manager Will McKannay dismissed Community Services Director Jeff Hauge and Community Development Director Frankie Kropacek amid an ongoing investigation into grant administration and contracting practices. Both had been on paid administrative leave since August. The investigation involves four grants related to the Bay Oaks Recreational Campus, Florida Department of Environmental Protection, Florida Division of Emergency Management and Federal Emergency Management Agency reimbursements. CliftonLarsonAllen is conducting a forensic review of missed reporting deadlines, procurement practices and potential financial irregularities. The town said the dismissals were based on various factors but has not released investigative findings.
