Fort Myers Beach Town Hall is home to the town’s administrative offices and meeting chambers, where elected officials consider policies, budgets and other municipal matters affecting the community.
Parking at town-managed spaces on Fort Myers Beach will increase from $5 to $6 an hour Oct. 1, a move officials estimate will generate about $511,000 in additional annual revenue. Town Council approved the increase Sept. 23 as part of its fiscal 2027 budget and fee schedule. The annual resident parking pass also will increase from $50 to $75. Several island restaurant owners opposed higher rates, arguing increased parking costs could discourage Southwest Florida residents from visiting businesses already dealing with construction and reduced parking availability. Council plans to revisit parking pricing by November, including potentially using seasonal or variable rates.
