Fun Time Early Childhood Academy received a $20,000 grant from the Christ Child Society of Naples to support early childhood education programs in Collier County. The funding will renew the Teaching Strategies GOLD curriculum used in 20 classrooms across the academy's four locations. It will also provide books, art supplies, science tools and other classroom materials. The curriculum focuses on literacy, mathematics, social-emotional development and kindergarten readiness. Fun Time reports that 90% of students in its voluntary prekindergarten program are kindergarten-ready. The grant continues a 21-year partnership between the organizations supporting children from working families throughout Collier County.
