Great Wolf Lodge gives $50K to iTECH program

Immokalee Technical College will receive $50,000 from Great Wolf Lodge South Florida to expand its Professional Culinary Arts & Hospitality program. The funding will help modernize the program’s training environment, including new booths and furnishings for the student-operated iTown Cafe. Drafting students at Lorenzo Walker Technical College will develop plans for the renovation. The contribution is part of Great Wolf Lodge’s pledge to provide $500,000 over 10 years for local workforce training initiatives following the development of its 500-room Collier County resort. The donation will be presented Sept. 25 at the college in Immokalee.
