A key-passing ceremony at Habitat for Humanity of Collier County’s Las Palmas community, off Collier Boulevard north of Immokalee Road in North Naples, marked the Oct. 29 launch of the nonprofit’s $100 million Together, We Build fundraising campaign. Four families became homeowners during the celebration. The campaign has secured $74 million toward its goal of expanding affordable homeownership opportunities for 1,000 families.
Habitat for Humanity of Collier County launched a $100 million fundraising campaign to expand affordable homeownership opportunities for 1,000 families. The nonprofit has secured $74 million, leaving $26 million to raise. The Together, We Build campaign will fund construction of 500 homes and secure land and infrastructure for another 500. Habitat Collier received approximately 22 inquiries for every home it built last year. The campaign was announced Oct. 29 at Las Palmas, a Habitat community off Collier Boulevard north of Immokalee Road in North Naples, where four families became homeowners. Bank of America also presented a $100,000 grant.
