Habitat for Humanity of Lee and Hendry Counties has selected MK Architecture to design its planned 55,000-square-foot headquarters and community center along Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard in Fort Myers. First announced in 2025, the project will replace the nonprofit's former headquarters, destroyed by Hurricane Ian in 2022. Plans include 20,000 square feet of administrative offices, a 30,000-square-foot warehouse and workshop, and a 5,000-square-foot community center for training and public events. The complex would consolidate operations now housed at separate Fort Myers and North Fort Myers locations. Construction costs, a start date and a completion schedule have not been disclosed.
