Habitat for Humanity of Lee and Hendry Counties will launch its 2026 Women Build season with a kickoff party March 2 at The Forest Country Club in Fort Myers, marking the program’s 16th year supporting affordable homeownership for female-led families. The annual Women Build campaign brings women and men together to raise funds and volunteer on homebuilding projects in Lee and Hendry counties, with a $500,000 fundraising goal set for the 2026 season. Since 2011, the local Women Build initiative has partnered with 31 female-headed households, helping provide safe, stable housing and long-term financial security. Last year, nearly 80% of Habitat’s future homeowners were female-led households. For more information, click here.
