Fifty Immokalee Foundation students participated in paid internships this summer across Southwest Florida, including five who explored health care careers at NCH North Hospital. Interns shadowed in Women’s and Children’s Services, supporting Pediatric, Labor & Delivery and Mom & Baby units. The opportunity, part of the Foundation’s Career Pathways program, gives students real-world exposure to in-demand professions while addressing workforce needs in Collier County’s fastest-growing population segment. NCH partnered with the Foundation to empower future medical professionals, with philanthropic support from James and Marillyn Hewson helping fund the collaboration.
