Barron Collier Cos. and CAPREIT broke ground Dec. 11 on Imperial 41, a mixed-use development that will add 120 apartments and 19,000 square feet of commercial space to a long-vacant site in downtown Bonita Springs. The public-private partnership with the city spans two buildings across the Imperial River off Old 41 Road, across from the Wonder Gardens, with commercial uses on the south building’s ground floor and residential units and amenities above. Plans include public parks, restrooms, bike racks, a fire pit and parking to support greater walkability and community access. Designed by RG Architects, the project is expected to be completed in 2027, with commercial leasing managed by Barron Collier Cos. and residential leasing by CAPREIT.
