Lee County completes $2.2M shuffleboard upgrade in North Fort Myers

Lee County completed a $2.2 million renovation project at the North Fort Myers Park and Recreation Center shuffleboard courts. Improvements include an 18,000-square-foot shade structure over existing courts, resurfaced playing areas, LED lighting, fans, scoreboards, new fencing, benches, a storage building and a public address system. The upgrades stemmed from requests by local shuffleboard players seeking additional shade while playing. The North Fort Myers facility is at 2000 N. Recreation Park Way and serves as a longtime gathering place for the area’s shuffleboard community.
