Several Southwest Florida hospitals ranked among Florida's best in the latest U.S. News & World Report Best Hospitals rankings for 2026-27. Lee Memorial Hospital and HealthPark Medical Center ranked 13th in the state, while NCH Baker Hospital and NCH North Hospital checked in at the 16th spot. Gulf Coast Medical Center in south Fort Myers ranked 21st. The annual analysis evaluated nearly 4,500 hospitals nationwide based on patient outcomes, preventable complications and patient experience. Lee Memorial and HealthPark were recognized as high performing in 15 adult procedures and conditions, while NCH earned high-performing marks in 13 and Gulf Coast Medical Center in 10.
