The School Board of Lee County approved a $2.9 billion budget for 2025-26, a decrease of $114.6 million from last year, along with a 10-year capital plan. The capital plan includes $2 billion in projected revenue through 2030 and calls for 10 new schools and a portable swing site, adding more than 14,000 student stations to meet growth. It allocates $1.76 billion for facility maintenance and modernization, with major investments in HVAC, roofing and building upgrades. For 2026, 148 projects are planned, covering athletics, drainage, electrical, playgrounds, plumbing and paving.
