Lehigh Acres' first Chick-fil-A opened Oct. 8 at 1110 Homestead Road N., just north of Lee Boulevard near G. Weaver Hipps Elementary School. The restaurant, operated by local owner Patrick Feltman, has hired approximately 120 full- and part-time employees, with additional hiring planned. The opening drew long lines and customers who camped overnight outside the restaurant. The location offers dine-in service, drive-thru, carryout, delivery and mobile ordering. Hours are 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday. To mark the opening, Chick-fil-A announced a $25,000 donation benefiting Harry Chapin Food Bank of Southwest Florida. The restaurant also will participate in the company's Shared Table program, which donates surplus food to local nonprofits.
