Marco Island City Hall is the seat of municipal government on Marco Island.
Marco Island City Council adopted a $34.3 million General Fund budget for fiscal 2027, about 3.3% below the revised fiscal 2026 budget. The city set its property tax rate at 1.2670 mills, up from 1.2400 mills last year, or $1.267 for every $1,000 of taxable value. The budget funds police, fire rescue, public works, parks and recreation and other city operations. Spending subject to Marco Island’s charter cap is projected at $32.08 million, about $1.64 million below the limit. Police and fire rescue employees will receive 6% raises, while other General Fund city employees will receive 3% increases. The budget took effect Oct. 1.
