NAMI Collier receives $45K grant for senior outreach

NAMI Collier County received a $45,000 grant from the Women’s Foundation of Collier County to expand outreach to low-income senior women. The funding will support a new staff member who will work with women in senior living communities to reduce social isolation and improve mental well-being. NAMI Collier plans to provide mental health programs, life skills activities and other support at its headquarters and in participants’ homes and communities, helping reach women who may lack transportation. Founded in 1987, NAMI Collier provides mental health support, advocacy and education for seniors, children, veterans and low-income individuals and families throughout Collier County.
