Naples Chamber to host Amendment 3 property tax forum

The Greater Naples Chamber will host a forum Oct. 7 examining how Florida’s proposed Amendment 3 could affect Collier County property owners, businesses and local government. The free event runs from 5 to 7 p.m. at Hilton Naples, 5111 Tamiami Trail N., and will feature Collier County Commissioner Bill McDaniel and North Collier Fire & Rescue Chief Eloy Ricardo. Amendment 3 would increase the homestead exemption for nonschool taxes to $150,000 in 2027 and $250,000 in 2028 and reduce the annual assessment increase cap for non-homestead properties from 10% to 5%.
