Naples Comprehensive Health has launched a new Pelvic Health Program through its outpatient rehabilitation services, expanding specialized therapy for women and men experiencing bladder control issues, pelvic pain and recovery after childbirth or surgery.
The program offers one-on-one evaluations and personalized treatment plans designed to improve strength, mobility and quality of life. Therapy also may help patients experiencing lower back, hip or groin pain related to pelvic floor conditions.
Unlike some similar programs, eligible services may be covered by insurance, depending on a patient's health plan.
NCH said the program is intended to help people who may have delayed seeking treatment because they believed their symptoms were a normal part of aging or recovery.
The service is available through NCH Outpatient Rehabilitation Services.
