A home for sale in Southwest Florida. A September housing report from Worthington Realty found that more than 20% of active home listings in five Southwest Florida markets had been listed previously within the past 12 months.
Nearly one-quarter of homes listed for sale in several Southwest Florida markets had been listed previously within the past year, according to Worthington Realty's September housing report. The brokerage analyzed Florida Gulf Coast MLS data and found relisting rates of 27.4% in Bonita Springs, 25.5% in Naples, 25% in Estero, 23.9% in Fort Myers and 20.9% in Cape Coral. Relisted homes took considerably longer to secure contracts than first-time listings. In Naples, the median was 246 days compared with 78 days for first-attempt listings. Despite the relisting activity, regional pending sales increased 5.1% year over year to 2,257, while active inventory declined 18.8% to 14,955 homes.
