The City of Bonita Springs is working on a stormwater improvement project that will enhance drainage in the area. The project includes upgrading the existing stormwater pipes and constructing two stormwater retention ponds. As part of this project, Bonita Springs Utilities will also relocate water and sewer lines. The contractor is installing new water, sewer and stormwater services on the project. The driveway culvert pipes with concrete driveway restoration have been completed on Tangerine Drive. By the end of July, all stormwater drainage structures will be onsite, and a second utility crew will be onsite to install drainage structures to accelerate the project. Motorists should expect intermittent lane closures, road closures with possible local traffic only permitted and flagging operations during daytime hours on Dean Street, Tangerine Drive and Quinn Street. Trucks and construction equipment will be entering and leaving the roadway; expect minor delays.
