Colorado-based Ohana Kava Bar has opened its first franchise at 2215 Winkler Ave., Suite H, in Fort Myers, bringing another alcohol-free gathering spot to the city's growing botanical beverage market. The bar opened under owner Sarka Hetherington, who operates the business with her fiancé, Estevon Rivera. The menu features traditional kava, a beverage made from the root of a Pacific Island plant, alongside botanical teas. Founded in Colorado Springs in 2015, Ohana operates two company-owned locations in Colorado and began franchising in 2025. The Fort Myers location opens at 7:30 a.m. weekdays and 10 a.m. weekends, closing at midnight most nights and 1 a.m. Fridays and Saturdays.
