Punta Gorda Airport served a record 2.28 million passengers in 2025, an 18.5% increase over the prior year, according to Charlotte County Airport Authority data. The total surpassed the previous high of 1.93 million passengers in 2024. December traffic alone reached 239,295 passengers. Air traffic control data showed 143,678 total takeoffs and landings during the year. Airport officials said a 50,000-square-foot expansion of the Bailey Terminal is underway and scheduled to open in 2027, adding gate space, dining and amenities as passenger demand continues to grow.
