Real Estate Investment Society of Southwest Florida will host its monthly luncheon Oct. 14 with Alexis V. Crespo, vice president of planning at RVi, presenting What’s Next for Hendry County Development. Crespo will discuss the county’s efforts to encourage business, industrial and residential growth while maintaining its historic agricultural character and protecting environmentally sensitive land. The meeting begins at 11:45 a.m. in the Osprey Room at Pelican Preserve’s Clubhouse, 9802 Pelican Preserve Blvd. in Fort Myers. Tickets are $30 for members, $45 for nonmembers, and free for students.
