Green Thumb Industries has opened a RISE medical marijuana dispensary at 928 NE Pine Island Road, along the commercial corridor in northeast Cape Coral. The store opened Oct. 10, becoming the Chicago-based cannabis company's 25th retail location in Florida and joining a network of more than 120 stores nationwide. The dispensary serves qualified medical marijuana patients and offers cannabis flower, edibles, concentrates, tinctures and topical products. Green Thumb, which entered Florida in 2018, also operates a RISE dispensary in Bonita Springs and production facilities in Ocala and Homestead. A grand-opening celebration is scheduled for Oct. 31, with a portion of profits benefiting The Grateful Veteran, a local nonprofit supporting veterans and first responders.
