RSW passenger traffic drops 6% in August

Southwest Florida International Airport reported 609,026 passengers in August, down 6% from the same month last year. Passenger traffic at the Lee County airport is down 0.5% through the first eight months of 2026. Delta led carriers at RSW in August with 147,022 passengers, followed by American with 111,666, Southwest with 104,634, United with 96,451 and Breeze with 47,632. RSW recorded 5,612 aircraft operations during the month, down 6.7% from August 2025. Meanwhile, Page Field recorded 15,721 operations, a 27% increase from a year earlier.
