Sanibel City Council recognized the SanCap360 Community Health Dashboard, a data platform created to track recovery and long-term community trends on Sanibel and Captiva. Council members approved a proclamation June 11 honoring the project, which was launched after Hurricane Ian by local business leaders and developed through a partnership involving the city of Sanibel, SanCap Chamber, Charitable Foundation of the Islands, Florida Gulf Coast University and Hammerhead Technology. The online dashboard, available at SanCap360.org, compiles data on the islands' economy, community well-being, environment, and infrastructure and services. Organizers say the platform is intended to support decision-making, resilience planning and economic development by providing centralized access to community data and performance indicators.
