Naples Zoo team members participate in STARability Foundation’s Disability Inclusion Training, focused on accessibility and workplace inclusion.
STARability Foundation partnered with Naples Zoo to provide Disability Inclusion Training focused on creating more accessible and inclusive workplaces. STARability’s Career Services team led the training, covering person-first language, disability awareness, accessibility, universal design and practices for creating supportive workplace environments. The Naples nonprofits have partnered for more than a decade, providing volunteer and vocational opportunities for participants in STARability’s Trailblazer Academy. STARability also offers Disability Inclusion Training to local businesses and organizations seeking to improve workplace accessibility and inclusion. The Naples-based nonprofit provides vocational training, continuing education, social engagement and other programs for individuals ages 14 and older with autism and other developmental disabilities.
