United Way of Lee, Hendry, and Glades will hold its third annual Bartender Battle from 5 to 9 p.m. Oct. 29 at Bay Street Yard, 2136 Bay St. in downtown Fort Myers. The fundraiser will feature United Way board members serving drinks and competing for the most tips and sales, along with a 1970s-themed Halloween costume contest and live music. All tips and 20% of food and drink proceeds will support United Way programs focused on education, financial stability, food security and health initiatives. Last year’s Bartender Battle raised nearly $38,000.
