Vanderbilt Beach Road Extension Project Phase I ribbon-cutting ceremony location.

A brief ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held for the Vanderbilt Beach Road Extension Project Phase I (Collier Boulevard to 16th Street Northeast) at 10 a.m. July 1.  A tent for the event will be set up at the northeast corner of Vanderbilt Beach Road and Collier Boulevard, near the St. Agnes Catholic Church parking lot at 7775 Vanderbilt Beach Road, Naples.  Parking for the event is available in the St. Agnes Catholic Church parking lot. All interested community members are encouraged to attend. The seven-mile roadway project, one of the biggest Collier County has undertaken, opened to traffic on June 12 after reaching substantial completion. The contractor is continuing to handle punch list items. Vanderbilt Beach Road Extension Phase II, which is being planned to extend the roadway from 16th Street Northeast to Everglades Boulevard, is in the final stages of design and may start construction toward the beginning of next year.

Would’ve been more interesting/ thorough if a map showing what’s opening and what’s planned. The map shown really doesn’t explain.
